Did you ever start working on details, just to discover that your proud result is good for nothing?
Or are you seeing this phenomenon around you, or on the news channels?
It happens also in the (sustainable) energy world:
  1. •PV projects that are carried out without taking into consideration many energy conservation opportunities with a much shorter return time;
  2. •You can find many more examples.
I have nothing against PV or even a focused effort on one technology, to get it into the market and to get prices down. But please, don’t loose the big picture.
An holistic view of all the relevant factors will lead to the best solution and ... consensus. It will seem a waste of time in the beginning, but on the long run, consensus leads to a constant progress of a sustainable way of life.
A limited view will lead to many rejected initiatives and obstruct sustainable progress.
